Fareham Borough Council has added its first 100% electric vehicle to its fleet, as part of its commitment towards carbon neutrality.
The van has replaced one of the Council’s older petrol models and will be a multiuse vehicle. It produces zero emissions and is the first step in the Council’s move towards a more environmentally friendly fleet.
Cllr Simon Martin, Climate Change Champion at Fareham Borough Council, said
“I’m really pleased to see this new electric vehicle operating around the Borough. Bringing an electric vehicle into our fleet is just the start of our plans to make our vehicles greener. This, along with other changes we are making across our services, will help reduce our impact on the environment and move us towards our carbon neutral target.”
