Nominations for the 2023 Hospitality Awards are now open. The annual awards, now in its 4th year, celebrate those who have demonstrated dedication and achievement over the last 12 months.
Members of the Southampton Region Hoteliers Association can nominate staff, colleagues and managers. Finalists will be announced in winter, culminating in an awards ceremony on 3rd February 2023, where the winners will be revealed.
This year sees two new categories – Manager of the Year and Outstanding Achievement Award. Plus the Community Award has been opened up to allow individuals to be nominated as well as hotels.
Operational Excellence of the Year Award (individual or team)
Operational Excellence Award will be an individual or a team who are able to demonstrate exceptional operational excellence within the last 12 months.
Rising Star of the Year Award (individual)
The Rising Star will be someone who has shown exceptional promise and made a significant impact. They will be new to the sector and have stood out from the crowd during the last 12 months to make a real difference to the team and venue.
Chef of the Year Award (individual)
This award seeks to identify the individual who most deserves to be recognised for their skills, achievements, self-discipline and potential at any stage in their career.
Top Team of the Year Award (team)
Top Team of the Year Award aims to recognise any team within an establishment that delivers an exceptional guest experience whether that be working directly with guests or behind the scenes over the past 12 months.
Community Award (establishment or individual)
The Community Award is open to an establishment that can demonstrate clear value to their community, or an individual that works within hospitality and through work or their own free time, gives back to the community within the last year.
Sales and Revenue of the Year Award (individual or team)
The Sales and Revenue Award will recognise excellence in the field of revenue management in establishments over the last year and is open to individuals or a team.
Manager of the Year Award (individual)
A new Category for 2023 this award is open to GM’s and Managers of any department that have demonstrated exceptional achievement, consistent commitment and professional development.
Lifetime Achievement Award (individual)
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognises professionals within the hospitality industry who have committed their lives to the pursuit of perfection within their discipline.
Outstanding Achievement of the Year Award (individual)
The Outstanding Achievement Award, is open to any individual within an establishment whether they work front of house or behind the scenes and has shown outstanding dedication, passion and results over the past year.
Nominations close on the 31st October, after which they will be sent to category sponsors who will choose 3 finalists. The finalists will be announced towards the end of the year and will be invited to meet the category sponsors. The winners will be announced and celebrated at the 2023 Hospitality Awards Night Ceremony.
The Headline Sponsor for the 2023 Hospitality Awards is Radio Taxis with additional sponsors supporting the award categories. The not for profit awards will again donate a portion of funds created from ticket sales and raffle prizes, to the local charity FareShare.
