The search is on for the stars of the Southampton hospitality scene! Nominations are now being accepted for the 2025 Hospitality Awards, recognising the dedication and achievements of individuals who have made the past year exceptional.
Members of the Southampton Region Hoteliers Association are encouraged to put forward staff, colleagues, and managers who they believe deserve to be celebrated. Finalists will be announced this winter, with the grand awards ceremony taking place on February 28th, 2025.
Last year saw a record-breaking 128 nominations, and organisers are hoping for even more outstanding entries this year.
Categories include:
Manager of the Year Award (individual) Sponsored by Fire Group
This award is open to GM’s and Managers of any department that have demonstrated exceptional achievement, consistent commitment and professional development.
Rising Star of the Year Award (individual) Sponsored by Harvest Fine Foods
The Rising Star will be someone who has shown exceptional promise and made a significant impact. They will be new to the sector and have stood out from the crowd during the last 12 months to make a real difference to the team and venue.
Chef of the Year Award (individual) Sponsored by Chefs and Events Staffing
This award seeks to identify the individual who most deserves to be recognised for their skills, achievements, self-discipline and potential at any stage in their career.
Top Team of the Year Award (team) Sponsored by Alliance Disposables
Top Team of the Year Award aims to recognise any team within an establishment that delivers an exceptional guest experience whether that be working directly with guests or behind the scenes.
Operational Excellence of the Year Award (individual or team) Sponsored by Yuzu Training
The Operational Excellence Award is for those who have exhibited success in their operating environment through their individual or team contributions.
Sales and Revenue of the Year Award (individual or team)
The Sales and Revenue Award will recognise excellence in the field of revenue management in establishments over the last year and is open to individuals or a team.
Community Award (establishment or individual)
The Community Award is open to an establishment that can demonstrate clear value to their community, or an individual that works within hospitality and through work or their own free time, gives back to the community within the last year.
Lifetime Achievement Award (individual) Sponsored by Brakes
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognises professionals within the hospitality industry who have committed their lives to a career in hospitality.
Outstanding Achievement of the Year Award (individual) Sponsored by Radio Taxis
The Outstanding Achievement Award, is open to all the unsung heroes, whether they work front of house or behind the scenes and have shown outstanding dedication, passion and results over the past year.
The Headline Sponsor for the 2025 Hospitality Awards is again Radio Taxis with additional sponsors supporting the award categories. The not for profit awards will once more donate a portion of funds created from ticket sales and raffle prizes, to the local charity FareShare.
Nominations close on the 10th November 2024, after which they will be sent to category sponsors who will choose 3 finalists. The finalists will be announced towards the end of the year and will be invited to meet the category sponsors. The winners will be crowned and celebrated at the 2025 Hospitality Awards Night Ceremony at Hilton Southampton – Utilita Bowl.
