17 October 2019 Central Southern Business event on T Levels and Industry Placements

T Levels have been called “the biggest shake up of technical education in a generation”

We know that skills and high quality training are crucial to ensuring South East employers remain competitive and dynamic – while creating valuable opportunities for young people to thrive in their careers.

To ensure that employers and business leaders from the widest spectrum of the Central Southern business community can get the latest update on the benefits of both T Levels and industry placements, we are holding an event on Thursday 24 October at the Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium from 17:30 until 19:30. Registration, networking and refreshments available from 17:00.   

The event is being held in conjunction with the South East Apprenticeship Ambassador Network and its Chairs, John Druce and Elizabeth Flegg.  

We want to stimulate discussion about how T Levels will increase industry placements, provide critical experience of the world of work for young people in both large and SME businesses and provide employers in the region with a skilled workforce.  

We will have speakers from Government, employers in the South who are champions of industry placements, as well as T Level ambassadors who can explain the positive impacts that technical education can have on businesses locally.
