Marketing communications agency, Carswell Gould has further cemented its award-winning status by taking home two awards at the 14th annual Hermes Creative Awards recently.
Despite the Southampton-based team working remotely due to the current pandemic, it received a ‘Platinum’ award in the category ‘Print Media/Integrated Marketing/Event Marketing’ for client Hexagon MSC Software’s international four-day conference in Madrid in January. The team directed every aspect of the production from management of the tech and production team, to presentation content, to lighting and staging to hosting, filming and art direction.
The second accolade was a ‘Gold’ award in the category ‘Electronic Media/Social Media/Interactive Media/Website for Carswell Gould’s website development for Women’s Prize for Fiction (WPFF) which this week announced its shortlist for the 2020 prize. One of the most respected, celebrated and successful literary awards in the world, WPFF has the ability to significantly boost a novel’s sales and author’s profile just by appearing on the shortlist. Carswell Gould has worked with WPFF for a number of years ensuring the website showcases the shortlist and winners in the most user-friendly way.
The Hermes Creative Awards highlights excellence among creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media, and are administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
This double award win sees the agency take home its seventh Hermes Creative Award following previous wins in 2018 for ‘Guerrilla Marketing’, ‘Content Campaign’ and ‘PR Campaign’ and two in 2017 for ‘Consumer Engagement’, ‘Integrated Web Campaign’, all for client John Mason International Movers.
Ed Gould, creative director at Carswell Gould said: “We are finding our brand of creative comms and digital campaign work increasingly sought after, relevant and effective. These awards are special to us because they underline the quality of the kind of work marketing directors and business leaders internationally really need to be focusing on at the moment. First, highly engaging, creative and image-led events (on and offline) and second, highly engaging, digital marketing and web development. Our team has consistently shown its capability to deliver high quality effective work that helps our clients do great business – whatever the weather.
The wins follow a double award win for ‘Best Event’ and best ‘Community Relations Campaign’ at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide Awards in the South of England and Channel Islands region at the end of 2019.
