Many restaurants of the Southampton Region Hoteliers Association are taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out Government scheme running from 3rd – 31st August.
The scheme provides a 50% discount of up to £10 off per head, for your meal and any soft drinks and is valid on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
In a bid to boost the economy and support jobs in the hospitality sector following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the scheme has been well received by those in the industry.
“The last few months has certainly had its challenges for hospitality, the largest many of us have ever seen as one of the hardest sectors to be hit. I speak on behalf of the Southampton Region Hoteliers Association in saying that we are delighted that most of us have been able to welcome back guests and we are excited to be part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. We look forward to seeing familiar and new faces to our hotel restaurants during August and beyond” said Richard Powell, Chair of the Southampton Region Hoteliers Association.
Some hotels have been open to assist the NHS during the past months, but for many, opening their doors again on 4th July after 3 months of lockdown was a welcomed milestone. It has been a gradual process opening up all aspects of hotel life, ensuring the best possible safety and standards for both visitors and employees and many are looking to make their leisure facilities accessible again shortly.
Although you cannot claim discount on alcoholic drinks or service charges, it can still be used alongside current offers and discounts, there is no limit to the number of days you can use the scheme and there is no minimum spend. The discount will automatically be applied.
