Equality, Diversity, Unconscious Bias and Inclusion in the Workplace for Senior Leaders

Totton College is hosting a one-day interactive training session for business leaders to raise staff awareness around Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and implementing EDI in the workplace with a guest speaker from Equality and Diversity UK

The EDI course is purposely designed for operational and managerial personnel to understand workplace inclusion to provide delegates with the skills they need to engage staff on the issues of equality, diversity and inclusion.

The training day will explore:

  • Equality legislation: The Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duty
  • The importance of and benefit of an equal, diverse and inclusive workplace and practices
  • The nine protected groups
  • The different types of unlawful behaviour
  • Unacceptable language and appropriate terminology
  • How to challenge and tackle unwanted conduct/ language
  • Unconscious bias as a form of discrimination
  • Personal and organisational bias and how to tackle/ reduce it
  • Clear action points generated from comprehensive best practice audits

Course cost: £225 per delegate
