Fareham Borough Council is delighted to announce that it has launched a helpline dedicated to helping local businesses navigate which government grants they may be eligible for.
There are currently a number of business support grant schemes which the Council is administering on behalf of the government. These cover different periods of restriction and have different eligibility criteria.
This helpline is specifically designed to help local business owners find the Business Grants they are entitled to and provide information on how to claim them. Businesses which have already applied for grants that have now been extended by the government will have the additional amount paid automatically so there is no need to reapply.
Businesses who have not yet benefitted from a grant since the November lockdown are urged to go to https://www.fareham.gov.uk/business/business_rates/grants.aspx to find information and guidance on all current schemes. If you are not sure if you are eligible, please call the helpline on 01329 824430 on weekdays from 8.45am to 5.15pm and a member of the Council team will be happy to help.
Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Seán Woodward, said: “I fully understand that all the available grants and the criteria for each one can be confusing and overwhelming for many business owners. We have set up this dedicated helpline to urge those who may not yet have benefitted from grant support to come forward to get the funding they could be entitled to, which could make all the difference for their businesses and ensure they thrive long into the future.”
