I’d like to say a hearty hello to you all as I take over the reigns from Kate Proh and assume the title of Community Manager.
My role will combine the safe running of the Action Groups with a broader communications remit – and I’m really looking forward to promoting the work you are doing within the groups to a wider audience.
We are already mid-way through January and with a couple of Action Group meetings under my belt, I’m beginning to hit my stride and looking forward to meeting more of you in person over the coming months.
My association with Business South goes back to 2007 and I have seen the organisation develop over those years. My background is in journalism (I was a political reporter and Woman’s Editor at the Daily Echo) and in more recent years I have worked in communications for some of the largest organisations in the region.
Looking ahead, my aim is to shine a brighter light on the successes achieved by the action groups and develop links with other groups and organisations that can support what we are doing.
Drawing on my political reporting background, I am keen to explore how we can ensure the government is hearing the views of businesses in the Central South region and look forward to championing causes that are highlighted by the work you do in the Action Groups.
2022 feels like its going to be an exciting year and I’m looking forward to working with you all.
