The first meeting of the Energy & Utilities Action Group took place in the splendid God’s House Tower in Southampton. While the venue may have been steeped in the past, the conversation around the table was very much focused on the present.
Access to sustainable sources of energy is key if the Central South is to reach its full potential. The group will be focusing its energy on identifying current blockers and working in partnership to remove obstacles. Chairing the group will be Shaun Stevens, MD of EPS Water and vice chair will be Sam Clough, Executive Director at Cavendish.
First priority will be to compile papers that identify current needs and opportunities. The next meeting in February is due to be held at the Future Towns Innovation Hub If you would like to find out more about joining the group please email kate@businesssouth.org.
