Local businesses, a handful of our current partners and the Mayor of Southampton have been given the VIP treatment by Saints Learning, as they held a special event to raise their profile and promote their work.
Saints Learning work with organisations to turn their potential into excellence – applying elite athlete development principles to help them assess, inspire and develop their staff.
Entitled ‘An Innovation in Learning and Development,’ a mixture of both local and national organisations visited St Mary’s to meet members of the Saints Learning Team and tour the stadium.
These included the likes of Basepoint Business Centre, Salisbury NHS, University Hospital Southampton and Southampton City Council, as well some from further afield such as the Fareham-based Office for National Statistics and Dixon’s Carphone from their office in Northampton.
The theme of the event was focused around energy efficiency, with a workshop designed to help attendees assess their energy levels, with helpful tips around conserving energy for enhanced productivity and better all-round health and wellbeing.
Clients were also taken into our new-look, state of the art first team changing rooms, where our players prepare their bodies and minds before they step out onto the pitch.
Zoe Huggins, Head of Saints Learning said: “It was great to bring together a group of individuals from businesses across the local area so they could experience our visionary approach to learning and development to help business and people’s performance.
“It’s always fantastic to see people enjoy our changing room experience as well as learning a few tips and tricks to improve their energy efficiency levels.”
Mayor of Southampton, Peter Baillie said: “It’s encouraging to see a great initiative that will hugely benefit people’s development in the local business community and I thoroughly enjoyed the morning.”
Another event is scheduled to take place in January 2020, which will provide the perfect opportunity for individuals to immerse themselves in learning, drawing inspiration from elite athlete development to offer solutions in the world of business.
