Southampton City Council – Dorset Street resurfacing

Dorset Street overnight closure for resurfacing Thursday 26th March and Friday 27th March

Dorset Street is being resurfaced over two nights, initially on the outbound (northbound) side then the inbound (southbound) side. Details below:

• Dorset Street outbound will be closed from its junction with Charlotte Place Roundabout up to the junction with Inner Avenue on Thursday 26 March between 8pm and 6am.
• Dorset Street inbound will be closed from its junction with Charlotte Place Roundabout up to the junction with Inner Avenue on Friday 27 March between 8pm and 6am.

Access for residents will be maintained but there might be short delays if we are working across the access to your property. When the inbound side is closed, access out of Lyon Street will be via Onslow Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout but there may be short pedestrian diversions in place to get around our works.

These works are weather dependant so dates can change. If there is a change of date, advanced warning signs will advise of the new dates.

These works may be noisy at times, but we will aim to complete the noisiest activities as early in the evening as possible. These works are being programmed to take place overnight to minimise the disruption to the network.
