Fareham Borough Council would like to thank residents for doing their bit to reduce the spread of Covid-19, by staying at home this Easter.
We know it is especially hard for residents at times when families and friends would normally be getting together. The Council’s Enforcement Officers were patrolling the Borough over the Bank Holiday Weekend and found most public areas were very quiet. Enforcement Officers will continue to patrol the Borough to ensure social distancing is being followed.
Councillor Seán Woodward, Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, said:
“We’re really grateful to residents for sticking to the social distancing rules this Bank Holiday, by doing this they are protecting the NHS and helping to save lives.
“I know it is particularly tough when the sun is shining but it’s really important that we all continue to do our bit to keep each other safe. Don’t forget to Clap for Carers tomorrow night at 8pm. I’d like to give our residents a clap too, for staying at home.”
