Having just completed renovation of a portion of its South Downs campus for the introduction of this autumn’s T Level provision, HSDC students are set to benefit additionally through £1.3 million of government funding.
The funding is the first part of a major £1.5 billion government investment with the aim of transforming colleges over the next five years and is earmarked for repairs and upgrades to college buildings and estates. It is the latest step in the government’s drive to overhaul further education and deliver the skilled workforce employers and the economy need.
HSDC Principal and CEO Mike Gaston was delighted to receive the news: “It is exciting news that we are one of the 180 colleges to receive this funding. Our South Downs campus now has state-of-the-art provision for our new T Level students and this funding will help us move one step further toward realising our three-year estate improvement strategy across all three of our campuses.”
