Public meetings and pop-up exhibitions are being held in the Fareham Borough for residents to have their say on plans for future development.
The Council is currently consulting on the new Local Plan and is holding a series of events to get people’s views on proposals.
A Local Plan Supplement document has been developed following the Issues and Options consultation held last summer. It sets out how the Council proposes meeting new national housing targets, identifying a small number of new housing sites and policies, as well as potential areas for strategic growth.
Three Community Action Team (CAT) meetings will take place this month (February) from 6pm until 7.30pm with exhibitions held before the meetings at the following venues from 5pm – 6pm:
- Tuesday 11 February – Fareham Community Church, (Upper Hall) 171 – 173 West Street.
- Thursday 13 February – Holy Rood Church, Stubbington.
- Monday 17 February – Cams Hills School, Portchester.
In addition, separate pop up exhibitions will take place in February at:
- Wallington Village Hall (Small Lower Hall) – 6 February from 5:30pm – 7:30pm
- Fareham Leisure Centre – 19 February from 11am – 1pm
- Titchfield Community Centre (Meon Room) – 24 February from 2:30pm – 4:30pm

The consultation runs until midnight on Sunday 1 March and people can give their opinions by visiting www.fareham.gov.uk/localplanconsultation. Paper surveys are also available from libraries at Fareham, Locks Heath, Portchester and Stubbington, and from the Civic Offices.
