The Housing Group recently visited the Welborne Welcome Centre, where Fiona Gray, Director of Place, shared the latest updates on this landmark development.
Phase One is underway, with the first homes started to be built in 2024 and up to 700 planned by 2028. This phase also includes the village centre, Dashwood, parks and green spaces, a new primary school, and upgrades to M27 Junction 10. All homes will feature EV charging points and solar panels, with cycling and pedestrian routes prioritised.
At the Welcome Centre, visitors can explore the village centre model, interactive map, and immersive 360° suite to see how Welborne will evolve over the next 20–25 years into a community of around 6,000 homes, shaped by sustainability, affordability, and long-term design.
Welborne is more than housing — it’s a carefully planned community for generations to come. It offers our Business Champions a great example of high-quality homes being built in a well-connected location just off the M27. With a strong commitment to working with Hampshire-based businesses, Welborne is fast becoming a shining star of the Central South.
