Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has once again received a gold medal from global sustainability ratings provider EcoVadis, placing the Southampton firm in the top three per cent of companies assessed this year.
As the world’s largest and most-trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, EcoVadis assesses criteria across four themes: Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, Environment and Sustainable Procurement with many businesses across the world now taking into consideration the ratings of potential clients, suppliers, and partners.
WBD retained gold medal status for the third year running, increasing its overall score by five points and placing within the top three per cent of nearly 89,000 companies assessed across over 250 industries and 150 countries.
Key changes made by WBD include improving data capture and reporting for the firm’s responsible business programme and introducing a social dialogue policy.
Sally Dallow, Partner Lead for Responsible Business at Womble Bond Dickinson, said: “Retaining our gold medal and further improving our score demonstrates that for us sustainability isn’t just a policy – it’s truly part of our culture. This achievement really is a testament to the collective effort of everyone across the business.”
