Meachers Global Logistics, one of the UK’s leading independent providers of logistics services, has partnered with local heart health charity Heartbeat to deliver on-site cardiovascular health screenings for its employees. The initiative saw over 50 team members take part, including a dedicated drop-in session for drivers, reinforcing the company’s commitment to accessible and preventative healthcare for all staff.
The health screenings, conducted by Heartbeat’s professional team, included a series of five-minute tests designed to detect early signs of cardiovascular issues. These included:
- Blood Pressure Check
- Blood Glucose Check
- Body Mass Index (BMI) Check
- Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Detection
- A brief Health Talk on lifestyle and heart health
Several employees also opted for the Gold Test upgrade, which included cholesterol testing, offering a more comprehensive view of their cardiovascular risk profile.
