The Holiday Inn Winchester joins the growing business network of Champions who work collaboratively to promote the Central South region for business, investment and growth.
Following the £2.5 million refurbishment of the hotel and development of the ANA Spa, Holiday Inn Winchester has joined the Business South Champion programme, a leading network of businesses from across the Central South region working together to maintain and develop the prosperity of the area.
The Holiday Inn Winchester, is located on the outskirts of the historic city of Winchester, on the edge of the South Downs National Park, easily accessed from the A34 and M3 motorway.
The hotel’s refurbishment, which was completed last year, includes the new Odyssey Restaurant, open lobby and ANA Spa: the newest spa in Winchester with treatment rooms, hydrotherapy pool, himalayan salt sauna, sensory shower, crystal steam room and gym.
The facilities complement the award winning 4-star hotel’s 131 luxury and contemporary bedrooms and outstanding conferencing facilities with the capacity to cater for up to 180 guests.
“It is an exciting time for the Holiday Inn Winchester with the recent completion of our £2.5 million refurbishment programme and opening of our ANA Spa” explains Sarah Waddington, Sales Manager at Holiday Inn Winchester. “Becoming a Business South Champion enables us to be part of a business network like no other in the region. Through the Champions programme we hope to strengthen local partnerships, and harness them to further develop economic benefit for both the hotel and the wider visitor economy.”
“The UK hotel industry is worth more than £20bn, and with our proximity to London and strong heritage offer, the Central South region is pivotal to this” says Leigh-Sara Timberlake, Group Chief Executive at Business South. “Hoteliers like Holiday Inn Winchester, undertaking exciting developments which cater to the demands of the modern traveller, will be well positioned to maximise the market. Business South works closely with hotels on projects such as our Luxury South Action Group, which promotes our growing luxury economy, and the Local Produce Trade Show which connects food and beverage suppliers with buyers from the hospitality industries.”
Business South is the independent representative of businesses in the Central South of England, supporting the prosperity of the region by bringing together business leaders, educators, public bodies and entrepreneurs to create a dominant and power force for change and growth.
