Apprentice Professional Coach (PC) is a new role in our central University Apprenticeships team reporting into the Head of Apprenticeships. Professional Coaches will be responsible for the interview, progress review and supporting development of apprentices on their apprenticeship programme alongside our faculty teams.
Professional Coaches will work collaboratively with academic teams and central services and employers to successfully support an allocated caseload of apprentices on programme.
You will be a single point of contact to cover the apprentice journey from interview and admissions to reporting and tripartite reviews and gateway/End Point Assessment (EPA) preparation. This support will ensure all activity complies with University policy, professional bodies where relevant, Ofsted framework and ESFA funding rules. You will be familiar with Higher & Degree Apprenticeships and specifically the relevant IFATE occupational standard in order to support apprentices in a work-based setting to achieve both on and off the job training and the requisite Knowledge Skills and Behaviours (KSB).
The ideal candidate will be familiar with apprenticeships and knowledgeable about one or more of the apprenticeships standards in Construction, Engineering, Computing / Digital and / or Health.
