From Friday 24th July, in addition to having their temperatures checked on arrival, all customers visiting the Civic Offices in Fareham will be required to wear a face covering when they enter the building.
This is in line with recent Government advice on wearing a face covering in shops and the recommendation to wear face coverings in enclosed public spaces.
Customers who arrive at the Civic Offices without a face covering, will be provided with a disposable face mask by an employee at the Council’s reception desk.
Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Seán Woodward said: “The health and safety of our employees, customers and visitors to the Civic Offices is our top priority and the Council have done a lot of work to ensure that it is a safe environment.
“The communal areas are being cleaned throughout the day, disposable face masks will be available, and visitors will have their temperature checked on arrival. Council employees will be on hand to welcome people and ensure they understand what to do and where to go.
