The Armed Forces Flag has been raised outside the Civic Offices, Fareham, to mark this year’s Armed Forces Day (27th June)
The Armed Forces were represented by Captain Catherine Jordan and Leading Hand (Police) Sarah Collins from HMS Collingwood (who raised the flag).
The ceremony was attended by The Mayor of Fareham, Cllr Mrs Pamela Bryant, alongside the Mayoress, Cllr Mrs Louise Clubley, and Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward.
Cllr Mrs Bryant said: “I am honoured to be part of this flag raising, which highlights the important contribution made by our dedicated Armed Forces.
This is especially true in the current times when the Armed Forces have stepped up to play a key part in the national response to Covid-19. By flying the flag we are showing our appreciation for everything they do.”
