It always promised to be a great event and the Central South Property Lunch sponsored by Kier Construction and Cavendish did not disappoint. Gavin Hall, chair of the Business South Regenerate South Action Group, set the scene for the over-subscribed gathering at Kimbridge Barn and said Central South was all about the place and we have the potential to be an economic powerhouse.
Following a delicious lunch, Gareth Morgan from Cavendish gave an insight into the political changes that could be on the horizon for our region and he was joined for a panel discussion by Councillor Lorna Fielker, Leader of Southampton City Council. Councillor Martin Tod, Leader of Winchester City Council and Councillor Paul Harvey, Leader of Basingstoke and Deane Council.
Business South Group CEO Leigh-Sara Timberlake said: “This was our first Property Lunch and it will be the first of many. It was a great opportunity to engage with our political leaders and to explore how the business community can give their full support to the Central South campaign.”
