‘The British Science Association (BSA) and the University of Southampton are delighted to announce that the prestigious British Science Festival 2026 will be hosted in Southampton. Spanning five days from September 16th to 20th, this event will unfold across various venues in the city. The festival promises an impressive line-up of approximately 100 free events, exhibitions, performances, and installations, all celebrating the people, stories, and ideas driving scientific innovation. With over 10,000 visitors expected from across the UK, this is a prime opportunity to highlight the region’s strengths and innovation.
There are numerous ways to get involved, from open, competitive calls for content providers and collaborative partnerships to deliver engaging activities (primarily targeting 16-34-year-olds), to diverse sponsorship opportunities. Sponsors can enjoy brand visibility, participate in panels, career talks, or even secure slots in the programme. More information will be shared in the upcoming months, but if you are an academic, local venue or regional business looking to get involved in the Festival, please contact the British Science Festival team on festival@britishscienceassociation.org.’
