This November, Occupational Health Consultancy (OHC) Ltd proudly marks 30 years in business, a journey that began in 1995, when founder Linda Lyle recognised a growing need among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for accessible, high-quality occupational health services.
What started as a one-woman operation has grown into a thriving organisation of 25 employees and 10 contractors, all based at Gaters Mill in West End, Southampton.
Over the past three decades, OHC Ltd has expanded its reach, delivering expert occupational health support to businesses across the South and throughout the UK, from small firms with just two employees to large organisations with several thousand staff. While the company serves a broad range of sectors, it has developed particular expertise in education and marine industries.
Today, the team provides a comprehensive range of occupational health services, including statutory medicals, health surveillance, and support for staff returning to work through reasonable adjustments. At the heart of it all lies a commitment to employee wellbeing, ensuring every individual receives the care and guidance they need to thrive at work.
What truly sets OHC Ltd apart is its personal, client-focused approach. As a female-led business, the company prides itself on building strong relationships, offering expert medical advice, and helping employers create safer, healthier workplaces.
Reflecting on the milestone, founder Linda Lyle said:
“It’s been an incredible journey. Our mission has always been to help businesses keep their teams healthy and safe, and to provide a personal service that makes a real difference to both employers and employees.”
With three successful decades behind them, the OHC Ltd team continues to champion workplace health, combining professional expertise with a friendly, personalised approach that has made them a trusted partner for businesses across the UK.
