Entrepreneurs at Solent Business Centre had the opportunity to meet the Leader of Southampton City Council, Councillor Daniel Fitzhenry, when he visited recently.
He was keen to find out more about the businesses that are based in the centre on Millbrook Road.
Centre Manager Kevin Muldoon gave the leader a tour of the building which is a distinctive city landmark, before Councillor Fitzhenry met a number of the people operating businesses there.
Craig Monk, who runs his 3d printing business CRM Cad from the Solent Business Centre was among those who came to see Councillor Fitzhenry, along with Mark Barratt from Go Karting, Gurnham Roath from Rowles Accountants, Patrick Songore from OTB Vendors, Sam Basso from Halo Fashion, Chloe Drodge from Love and Lumo and Phil Leach who runs the popular café at the Solent Business Centre.
Councillor Fitzhenry said: “It’s great to meet the leaders of businesses that are starting and growing in Southampton. It’s exciting to see the opportunities they are developing her in our city.
“We love business and we love the fact people are coming together to find solutions and build businesses. We want to be known as a city where people can do just that.”
Commenting after the visit, Kevin added: “We were delighted to welcome the Leader of the Council to Solent Business Centre. It was an opportunity for him to find out more about what goes on here and he was genuinely intrigued by the mix of companies that are based here.”
