We are pleased to welcome Rich Knight as the new Co-Chair of the Sustainable South Action Group.
Rich is a Senior Associate at Ridge and Partners in Winchester, where he works as a Sustainability Consultant. With nearly 20 years of experience and a master’s degree in environmental science, he brings a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to the role. His career has spanned sectors from residential development to complex healthcare and research facilities, with a strong focus on embedding sustainability into all stages of design and construction.
Looking ahead, Rich hopes to support the region’s sustainability ambitions by helping develop a practical, scalable toolkit of best practices. This resource would complement local planning policy and be adaptable across both residential and workplace communities—encouraging more structured approaches to community engagement, sustainability education, and operational efficiency in the built environment.
