Alton College has continued to go from strength to strength, with students on a variety of A Level, T Level and vocational qualifications celebrating another set of truly fantastic results.
Highlights
A Level Excellence: Our A Level Centre of Excellence at Alton College has performed exceptionally well this year, with nearly 50% of students achieving A*-B, and around one quarter attaining the very highest grades of A*/A. The overall pass rate for students at Alton College also remains incredibly strong at 98%.
A Level Art & Design students have excelled with 75% achieving an A*- B grade and it gets even better as of these students 65% achieved the very highest A* and A grades. All creative subjects’ students had similar success. Consistent with previous years, over half of the A Level Maths students achieved brilliant A* and A grades, the same with A Level Further Maths.
T Level Trailblazers: As the top T Level provider in the region, HSDC remains committed to the exceptional delivery of this important technical qualification, which offers students 20% of their time in industry and 80% in the classroom. This year, Alton College’s results in this area reaffirm our commitment to technical excellence, with what must be amongst some of the best results in the country in T Level Education and Childcare with a very rare Distinction*, plus nearly half of the cohort achieving very high grades.
Vocational and Technical Prowess: Incredible results have also been seen across Alton College’s vocational subjects this year, with an amazing 100% pass rate, and around one in three students achieving the very highest grades Distinction and Distinction* grades.
Vocational Art students achieved 80% high grades with 100% pass rate. Games Design, Film and TV, Sport and Public Services also achieved excellent outcomes with around three quarters of the cohorts achieving high grades.
