Meachers Global Logistics is proud to announce the opening of a brand-new 60,000 sq. ft warehouse on Oriana Way, located within the Nursling Industrial Estate, Southampton. This strategic expansion strengthens Meachers position as one of the South Coast’s leading providers of logistics and supply chain solutions.
The official opening was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Caroline Nokes, MP for Test Valley, alongside Bob Terris, Chairman of Meachers Global Logistics, celebrating this significant milestone for the business and the region.
The new facility offers close proximity to the Port of Southampton, one of the UK’s busiest deep-water ports. This location provides significant benefits for businesses importing goods, enabling faster turnaround times, reduced transportation costs, and improved supply chain efficiency.
Meachers valued customers, including James Hardie and Carnival, are already leveraging this prime location to streamline their operations. Both companies receive regular imports through the Port of Southampton, and the new warehouse ensures their products are handled with speed and precision.
The new site offers a range of advantages, including its strategic location from the Port of Southampton, making it ideal for import and export operations. With 60,000 sq. ft of modern warehousing space, Meachers can accommodate growing customer demand while reducing lead times and optimising distribution for businesses operating across the South Coast region and beyond.
Gary Whittle, Operations Director at Meachers Global Logistics, commented:
“This investment reflects our commitment to providing world-class logistics solutions. The new site not only increases our capacity but also enhances our ability to serve customers who rely on the Port of Southampton for their global supply chains.”
