Southampton City Council is looking to grow its team of foster carers in order to ensure a diverse choice and match of placements is available for children and young people who have come into the care of the Local Authority.
You will need to have a spare bedroom, be aged 21 or over, have childcare experience and be able to offer flexibility. You don’t need to give up work to foster, as long as you can be available when required. Once you are approved, we do everything we can to ensure that your needs are met – from offering a weekly fostering allowance to delivering comprehensive training and providing access to 24/7 help and advice.
