Maritime + Transport Careers Programme
Maritime + Transport Careers Programme (MTCP), is a new careers programme aimed at addressing the skills gap in the maritime and transport industries in the Central South.
Created by members of the Maritime Transport Action Group (MTAG), one of Business South’s Action Groups and Solent Partners (formerly Solent LEP), the programme highlights the wide variety of jobs available in the area and help attract a new influx of talent to future-proof the industry.

Local Skills Improvement Plan (Solent LSIP)
The aim of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) was to put employers at the heart of the skills agenda and build stronger partnerships between business and further education providers.
Business South was delighted to rally larger employers so they could have an input into the Solent LSIP, led by Hampshire Chamber of Commerce. It is a great example of the two organisations working together and Hampshire Chamber of Commerce is a Business South strategic partner.
