Tilbury Douglas, a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out business, has marked a project milestone at its Luminous Oak School project in Eastleigh, Hampshire, by hosting a steel signing ceremony alongside its delivery partner, Hampshire County Council.
The school, awarded under the Southern Construction Framework, will accommodate 125 children aged 8 – 16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The project comprises a two-storey compact L-shaped building, which is on target to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’, and will include 15 general teaching classrooms, six specialist practical classrooms and a high needs facility. The scheme will also feature therapy spaces, group rooms, a fitness suite and learning resource areas.
Paul Gale, Regional Director – South West at Tilbury Douglas, said: “This ceremony marks another significant step in our journey to deliver an exceptional learning environment. The progress on site reflects the dedication of everyone involved, and we’re proud to be working with our partners to bring this important project to life.”
