Leading South Coast law firm Trethowans is delighted to announce that Partner and family law specialist Grant Cameron has been named Legal Personality of the Year at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2026.
This prestigious national award recognises individuals who have made an outstanding, long-lasting and positive contribution to the legal profession. Grant’s win reflects his influential leadership as National Chair of Resolution (from May 2023 to May 2025) and his deep commitment to championing constructive, compassionate and child-focused reform within the family justice system.
During his tenure at Resolution, Grant played a pivotal role in shaping debate around early legal advice, non-court dispute resolution and modernisation of the family courts. He has been widely credited with strengthening the profession’s voice in national policy discussions and advancing a more humane and accessible approach to supporting separating families.
As a Partner in the family team at Trethowans, Grant advises on complex children matters, high-value financial cases and the full spectrum of family law. With more than 30 years’ experience, he is regarded as one of the region’s most trusted, skilled and respected practitioners.
Emma Wilders-Pratt, Partner and Head of the Family Team at Trethowans, said: “We are absolutely thrilled for Grant and incredibly proud to see his national contribution recognised in this way. His leadership has helped shape the future of family law, and yet he remains unfailingly committed to every client he supports. This award could not be more deserved.”
Commenting on the award, Grant said: “It’s an honour to receive this recognition. This achievement is shared with my colleagues at Resolution and the many practitioners across the country working tirelessly to make the family justice system kinder, clearer and more accessible. I’m grateful to be part of that collective effort.”
The winners were announced at a ceremony held at the Park Plaza London Riverbank on 16 April 2026, celebrating excellence, innovation and impact across the legal sector.
