Solent Freeport has launched a new Business Growth Skills Grant to help small businesses across the Solent train their existing workforce and grow. One-off grants of £500 to £5,000 are available towards training linked to business growth. This includes technical and engineering, digital, AI and data, leadership and management, export and commercial skills.
To be eligible, businesses must:
- employ fewer than 50 people and have been trading for at least 12 months
- operate in one of Solent Freeport’s priority sectors: Advanced Manufacturing, Maritime, Aerospace, Space, Digital Technologies, Life Sciences, Defence or Clean Energy
- have their main trading address in Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, the Isle of Wight, New Forest, Portsmouth or Southampton
