Social Value | Business South

Introduction

Business South’s Social Value Group brings together organisations from across the Central South to collaborate on creating meaningful social, environmental and economic impact. Acting as a forum for knowledge sharing and partnership, the group connects businesses, public sector organisations, charities and social value professionals to develop practical solutions that benefit communities, support sustainable growth and strengthen the region’s economy.

By championing collaboration and a place-based approach, the group aims to maximise the collective impact of organisations already delivering social value across the Central South.

Our Goal

The Social Value Group aims to build a shared understanding of the Central South’s social value priorities, helping organisations identify where collaboration can have the greatest impact. By bringing together champions, the group encourages the sharing of best practice, the development of collaborative initiatives and the delivery of projects that improve skills, support communities, enhance wellbeing and protect the environment.

The group also seeks to develop a Central South Social Value Framework aligned with regional priorities, while exploring opportunities for a regional social value accreditation or kitemark that recognises organisations making a positive contribution to the region. Through collaboration, innovation and knowledge sharing, the group aims to strengthen social value across the Central South and support long-term, sustainable prosperity.
