Functional Drinks Brand Valued at $60 Million Following Investment
Lester Aldridge has advised fast-growing nootropic drinks brand Neutonic on its latest $6 million funding round, continuing its support of the business as it enters the next stage of its growth journey.
Founded in 2023 by Chris Williamson, host of the globally ranked Modern Wisdom podcast, fitness entrepreneur James Smith, and fellow founders Luke Betts and Shan Hanif, Neutonic has quickly established itself as one of the UK’s leading functional drinks brands.
Since launching, the business has sold more than 7.5 million cans and is on track to exceed $25 million in revenue this year. The brand is now stocked in more than 10,000 retail locations globally, spanning grocery, specialist retail and fitness channels across the UK and US.
The funding round values Neutonic at $60 million and brings together a strong group of investors from both sides of the Atlantic, including Alan Barrett, Ollie Marchon, Ross Edgley, Dan Martell, Codie Sanchez, Nomit Shah and Zach Ranen. Gym King founder Jay Parker has also joined the business as a special advisor.
Lester Aldridge worked closely with the Neutonic team throughout the transaction, providing legal support on all aspects of the investment round.
James Smith, co-founder of Neutonic, said:
“This raise gives us the firepower to keep building Neutonic across both the UK and US whilst also launching in Australia.
We have seen strong momentum in retail and this next phase is about scaling distribution, strengthening the team and continuing to meet growing consumer demand.”
The Lester Aldridge team was led by Partner Jamie Earley, supported by Senior Associate Danielle Slater.
Jamie Earley, Partner at Lester Aldridge, commented:
“It’s been a pleasure continuing to support Chris, James, Luke, Shan and the wider Neutonic team as the business goes from strength to strength. Having advised on the company’s previous funding round, it’s particularly rewarding to see the progress they’ve made over the past year and to help them secure the investment needed for their next phase of growth.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of our work is building long-term relationships with ambitious founders and supporting them through key milestones in their journey. Neutonic’s growth has been remarkable, and we’re excited to see what comes next as the business continues to expand across the UK, US and beyond.”
The investment will support Neutonic’s next phase of growth, including further expansion across the UK and US, a launch into Australia, continued retail rollouts and investment in its growing team.
