The A Team (Alison Barnes and Alison Wilson) ensured our Directors Dinner got off to a brilliant start at the delightful Balmer Lawn Hotel.
Alison Wilson, who owns the hotel with her husband Chris, welcomed more than 40 business leaders from across the region to our latest Directors Dinner and shared fascinating insights about their 30-year journey. She revealed the hotel played a significant role during World War 11 as a place for troops to recuperate and since she and Chris took ownership, the hotel has become a much-loved venue in the New Forest.
Alison Barnes, CEO New Forest National Park and Business South Director, gave a captivating and poetic address that covered everything from the economy of the forest, the importance of trees (focusing on the 700 year-old Queen Oak recently featured in The Times) and the responsibility we all share for keeping nature on the balance sheet.
