We are delighted that for the next in our ‘Spotlight on Surrey’ series of virtual events, we will bring together speakers who will be presenting on Decarbonisation and the Green Economy.

Decarbonisation and the green agenda is a key priority for the country and the drive to eliminate waste from the economy is a massive opportunity for business. Surrey, as the most wooded county in England and with its unrivalled natural beauty, is strongly positioned to take full advantage of this and to ensure our children are able to enjoy a clean and healthy world. Attendees to our next Spotlight on Surrey event will be able to hear from a range of speakers on what we need to do to make this a reality and how we can all contribute to minimising waste and, therefore, reducing cost. You’ll also have the chance to link up with other businesses and explore what opportunities are out there that you could take advantage of for your organisation.

In addition to hearing from business leaders, the event will also feature political and governmental speakers, and will end with a panel discussion. Delegates will be invited to participate using the virtual event Q&A function.

Confirmed speakers include:

Kate Norgrove, Executive Director Advocacy & Campaigns – WWF
Steve Sharratt OBE, CEO – DBE Energy
Dr Kat Bruce, Chief Technical Officer & Founder – Nature Metrics
Alastair Fee, Journalist & Host

Businesses and organisation of all sizes seeking to grow and innovate within this sector will find this event of interest, including supply chain delivery, potential partnership working, research and generation of ideas.
